My professional career in the cosmetics industry began in 2006 when I worked for Lise Watier as a senior MUA while also working p/t as a beauty advisor for Shoppers Drug Mart, running a B&B and a catering company simultaneously.

In 2008 I followed my boss from Lise Watier to Cover FX and worked as an MUA with them while still with Shoppers and running my catering company. I absolutely loved their line of foundations. In fact I still do, however their products are no longer available via retail locations.

During this time grandchildren entered my world and became a regular part of my schedule which has been my greatest honor. 🙏🏻🥰

In 2010, I decided to take a counter manager position with Lancome (to give my poor car a break from all the travelling), and I closed down my catering company, however still ran my B& B. Then as luck would have it more grandchildren! 😍

It was about this time I decided to open my own cosmetic studio ...about 2013), which I called Make You Gorgeous (changed to MYG Cosmetics in 2020), offering a top quality skin care line curated from California, a beautiful array of gorgeous high pigmented cosmetic products as well as MUA services for weddings, editorial, film, and music videos.

Along the way I have continued to upgrade my skills and obtain certifications which have advanced my knowledge and expertise as a HMUA.

Though I took a 4 year break after going through a divorce and subsequent location changes, I can't believe it's been 18 years since my professional career began.

I love many forms of creativity including home decorating, art (painting on canvas), making jewellery and clothing, creating gorgeous hairstyles and transforming my clients into the most beautiful and glamorous versions of themselves so they can confidently take centre stage at their events and special occasions or just learn the basics for an everyday polished look.
