During your “makeup trial”, You will discuss your makeup preferences, the style of your dress, the flowers and decor you have chosen for your event. The makeup artist will design a look for you, based on your individual personality and personal style. You will be able to preview your look before your wedding day to see what it looks like at different times of day, and in different types of lighting. Your personal touches, like more blush, or thicker eyeliner are noted and the look is perfected. You will not just like, but love, your wedding day makeup!
Do I need one? Highly recommended. As for any wedding vendor, the least amount of surprises, the better. Brides who like the style they see on this website and are confident, will book first and do a trial later. It’s up to you. It’s a good idea to book a trial sometime before the wedding day, either before booking the date, or after.
How far in advance should I schedule a makeup trial? Makeup artists can be booked six months to a year in advance, depending on the month. Scheduling a trial and consultation well in advance is a great idea.
How long does a makeup trial and consultation take? Allow an hour and a half.
Where does the appointment take place? At your location. Within the city of Chicago, North Shore, and surrounding suburbs. No travel fees. Please contact Fine Makeup Art for longer distances and destination weddings. Travel fees may apply.
